I have been dedicating every spare minute I have lately to watching Made in Chelsea and am happy to report I have now finished Season 2.

Where I lived in London was very close to where the show is filmed and it is quite exciting to see this glamorous pack having a champers or 2 in the same spots I used to visit.

Haven't the last two weeks gone quickly? One minute I was setting the table for Christmas lunch, then the next thing I know I'm back at work!

Exciting times ahead this year.......the start of a new job, a mini holiday to Perth next month, several weddings, and of course many good times with friends and family to come in 2012.

I plan on being a little more adventurous in the dress stakes this year and perhaps buying and mixing clothing that I normally wouldn't.

Several years ago I was fortunate enough to spend Christmas in the beautiful skiing town of Zermatt in Switzerland with some extended family.

Home to the Matterhorn, Zermatt is one of the most beautiful places I have ever visited in my travels.

I'll never forget drinking pina coladas and mulled wine on Christmas Night in a Zermatt bar filled with trendy tourists in their fluffy ski boots.

While I'm happy it's shaping up to be a hot Christmas day here, nothing can really beat a white Christmas.

I ventured to the new Burnside Village here in Adelaide this week....it is very lovely.

I wasn't overly impressed with the hyped up Zara store at all (I thought I was in Valleygirl in some areas!) but I was delighted to see that Husk have opened which is their first store in Adelaide.

For all those who have lived or live in Melbourne (or shop there on a regular basis) will know Husk. A beautiful store with fabulous clothing and accessories.

I made one purchase, this Panama hat which I have been on my mind for over a year now.

I absolutely loathe grocery shopping, always have. Nothing worse than wasting a few hours in a packed supermarket with hundreds of others trying to do the weekly shop when there are other far more important things to be doing.

About 5 months ago I started getting my weekly groceries delivered by Coles, and I have never looked back. Only now will I step foot in a supermarket when it is absolutely necessary!

I was interested to see that Duchess Kate still does her groceries in person.....I would have assumed she would have had some assistant to do this for her.

I wonder if William ever lends a hand in the weekly shop?

If he's anything like my husband he would stay firmly planted in the magazine isle reading boating and fishing magazines or sneaking miscellaneous items such as chocolates and potato chips into the trolley when I'm not looking.

I always start my Christmas shopping early, always.

After receiving a beautiful set of EmersonMade napkins as a wedding gift, I decided this would make a fabulous gift for my Mum and I set about ordering these early to avoid disappointment.

We are certainly getting into the festive spirit at the Salambao household.

Saturday morning Emma and I made a special trip to the Christmas Shop and in search of some decorations to spruce up the house for the festive period.

I settled for this simple wreath and bow - not quite Martha Stewart quality, but it does look lovely all the same.

My Cavoodle Wally looks suitably impressed too.
